This notice explains what LateMap currently collects and how we use it while the service is in beta.
Information you give us
If you submit an event, we collect the event details you provide and your contact email address. The contact email is used for reviewing and managing the submission and is not displayed on the public event map.
Location
If you choose to enable location, LateMap uses your browser's location to show your position and calculate distances to events. The current LateMap application does not intentionally store your precise location in the LateMap events database.
The map is provided using Mapbox, so map requests may also be subject to Mapbox's own privacy practices.
Service providers and event sources
LateMap currently uses service providers including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database services, Mapbox for maps and PostHog for product analytics. Event information may also originate from third-party event and ticketing providers such as Ticketmaster, or from promoters and venues submitting events directly.
How long we keep information
We keep submission information for as long as reasonably necessary to review, manage and maintain event listings, deal with queries or disputes, and operate the service. You can contact us if you want us to review or delete information you submitted.
Cookies and analytics
LateMap does not currently use advertising cookies.
We use PostHog for cookieless product analytics to understand how people use LateMap and improve the service. We collect information about actions such as opening the map, changing filters, viewing events, clicking ticket and directions links, enabling location, and starting or completing an event submission.
We do not store analytics identifiers in cookies or your browser's local or session storage. PostHog uses connection information, including IP address and browser information, to create a privacy-preserving daily identifier on its servers so that related activity can be counted together.
We do not link analytics to your name or email address, and we do not intentionally send names, email addresses or precise location coordinates to PostHog. Session replay and automatic capture are disabled. Analytics data is processed using PostHog's EU Cloud.
You can disable or re-enable LateMap product analytics at any time using the analytics preference control on this page. If you change this preference, LateMap stores only that choice in your browser so it can be remembered.

LateMap uses cookieless PostHog analytics to understand use and improve the service. Analytics is enabled by default. You can turn it off or on here.
